MLB ratings
Nine separate pools, which is more than any other sport here, because baseball positions genuinely are different jobs. Hitters are rated on what they did this season, pitchers on a different scale entirely, and the nine-bat lineup mode is the longest draft in the game.
How these ratings are built
Hitters are rated on 2026 fantasy points per game, built from runs, hits, doubles, triples, home runs, RBI, steals and walks, then curved separately for each position, because a catcher who hits like an outfielder is a far rarer thing. Starting pitchers are rated per start on innings, strikeouts, wins and earned runs; relievers per appearance with saves and holds added. There are minimums (forty games for a hitter, eight starts, twenty-five relief outings) and anyone under a full workload has his stat rating blended back toward the editorial one in proportion to what he missed, so a hot fortnight cannot buy a 99.
Every rating in this category runs on the same 40 to 99 scale the rest of the game uses. There are 529 entries here across 9 pools. In the game itself these numbers stay hidden until the verdict screen, which is the whole point of the auction; this page is the reference copy, for settling arguments after the fact.
